I’ve always enjoyed playing football when I was a kid whether at school or in the fields outside my house. Just before I started secondary I was diagnosed with osgood schlatters which meant a lot of my sports had to stop which sadly included football.
Eventually my fitness level dropped so there was no way normal football was an option. I was approached by my boss about two months ago talking about the walking football at Mcdiarmid, knowing how much I enjoy football we decided to give it a go and it completely surpassed my expectations. Everybody at the club has been extremely lovely and approachable. It’s a great laugh every Thursday! Walking football is definitely not just for over 50s it’s a great way to get back into shape!
